Carbon County Public Health Directive Enforcement Plan

The Carbon County Board of Health in partnership with the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office and the County Attorney have developed a plan for the enforcement of the Public Health directives issued as a response to COVID-19, including the Governor’s Phased Reopening Plan and the Carbon County Masking Directive.

Links to the Directives can be found here.

The enforcement process will be initiated by public complaint regarding a violation of the orders laid out in the directives.

These complaints will then be forwarded to the County Attorney to determine the appropriate action.

Only signed, specific complaints can start the process; anonymous complaints will not be accepted. Because of the nature of the Governor’s directives and local Public Health directives, complaints will go through the County Attorney’s office.
